Clearly art affects humans greatly with such a huge focus on films, television, books and music but is there a dangerous side to it all? Ocean View explores how art can affect someone, and how the obsession with escapism can consume them. Do we bury ourselves in the lives of our favourite characters to avoid dealing with our own problems? Do we create our own fantasies because our lives just aren’t fulfilling enough? Great art tells us about ourselves, but is there the risk of becoming so buried in the art that we lose ourselves somewhere along the way?
