My poem explores the corrosive, destructive side of love. I feel that our society is taught to think that happiness comes from being in a romantic relationship and, due to this thought, many young people jump into relationships, not knowing why they are doing it or what they want. What we want and what we need are completely different things. Learn to recognise this and you will learn to love what you have around you.
Overall, this explanation shouldn’t matter as, if you need to explain your work, it clearly doesn’t do a good job of connecting with people. Think for yourself and you will see things as what they mean to you.
