Do titans still argue under the tectonic plates and make earthquakes happen?

Alkmini Gkousiari, 23

Born in Greece and currently living and working in Glasgow. My visual and written work occupies a purely mythological space. Despite borrowing systems of displaying from museums and archives and giving them theatricality, the subject is always something not quite of our global human society, but rather of an intangible realm outside of common time. I think of my work in terms of excavation and investigation; it is an attempt to excavate buried narrative material and bring it into the tangible present through text, objects, film and illustrations. The work’s themes evolve and the stories and processes change, but the core of my practice stays the same while continuing to move towards new forms of explanation through materials.
