“Changing tides” is a representation of Broughty Ferry beach, close to Dundee, where I’m currently studying Fine Art. Through manmade objects that have come into the natural world such as pottery and glass shards which I collected from the beach, I have tried to recreate the feeling of that environment. The piece shows an appreciation for the natural world, not only stopping at the aesthetic feature, but making a statement on the influence man is making on the environment. My intention is to explore the difficult relationship between nature and humans, and how they have effects on each other.
