Can trauma be salvaged?

Raymond Hourigan, 36

Throughout the lockdown/pandemic period, I have been quietly churning out collages and poems. With these two pieces, I wanted to address a topic very close to my heart, and something I had to live through myself unfortunately. Anyone who has ever been attacked, assaulted, beaten up or made a victim will recognise something in the words I’ve written hopefully. I will let the work speak for the moment in question as it’s still a very raw subject for me emotionally, but I’ll call this catharsis for now.
