Can the ‘wild’ ever be wild again?

Beth Millar, 30

We live in a time when our natural world is in a fragile state. On the one hand it faces daily battles with the effects of humanities greed and selfishness. And on the other, it relies so heavily on our love and maternal care for it. As we begin to realise the consequences of our selfishness and as we battle for this world, I am still fearful. Will we ever get back what has already been lost? Are our footprints too deep and cemented? How do we make the “wild” wild again?
