Film-PoemG45, 2021
G45 is a film-poem that represents working-class life with all its pride and complexities. Focusing on the community of Castlemilk, it writes into the context of a place that has been persistently undermined and underrepresented. It aims to challenge preconceived notions and stand against governmental cuts and social marginalisation. More than anything, though, it is a celebration of Castlemilk, its people and its culture. This work is a collaborative project between two working-class artists, filmmaker Stella Rooney and poet Charles Lang.
