Can a mother forget her child?

Krystal Johnstone, 29

The underlying statement of the story is that a mother will go through hell for their children and age does not affect their love for their child. This is important because it looks at the bond we have with our children, something which is ancient, unwavering and unchanging. It examines the strength that our children give us through the years and through every crisis. The story looks at what it is to be force-fed lies about your own body as a woman and what you are feeling. It looks at having to hide your true feelings from the world which many of us are often forced to do. It looks at imprisonment in a society which doesn’t want to hear female voices.
