The 21st century, where everywhere we go we hold a cellular device close to us; in our hands, pockets, bags. In this oil pastel art piece I am expressing how empty the environment is without our trusted “comfort blanket” in our hands.
Imagine sitting on a train, imagine that every person you saw had no device in there hands but yet they still acted like they did. A device that was made to make socialising better, easier and quicker has make our modern-day-society extremely upsetting and different. As you sit on the train on your way home from work you notice how lifeless, emotionless and cold our dependency on technology has made us.
