The refrain ‘I can’t breathe’ has never been more political. I wrote this piece as a response to our world right now. As I see it, 2020 has been one that challenges the breath of our social, racial and environmental norms. I wanted to connect the dots between events. We need to realise that, if we are to move forward, we must collectively respond to tragedies. I believe that we are all responsible for each other’s breathing, whether we like it or not.
