In between reality and fantasy, a series of images and poems conceived during Scotland’s lockdowns. Reflections on stillness and our relation to technology. The images are a blend of self-portraits and architectural shots, altered through an experimental process involving transparencies. Created in a unique historical moment where skins are untouched and the outside world is somehow so distant yet so close to us, these short fragments of poems and experimental images are my personal reflections on current events and the effect of digital realities on our perception of the physical world. Shifting from nostalgia to confusion, black and white self-portraits are juxtaposed with architectural shots printed as wet transparencies, corrupted to be point of almost fading.
