Many people believe that a visit from a Robin is a sign that a lost relative is visiting them, in the spiritual world Robins are viewed as a symbol of visits from our deceased loved ones. The Robin also symbolises new beginnings and life, and is also looked upon by many as a sign of fortune and good luck. The Robin has been known as a spirit animal for a long time and many people believe that you should not ignore the message it brings you. But is this all just in the mind’s eye? In the eye of the beholder? Is it merely coincidence or is it a subconscious human effort to find hope and comfort in a time of loss, loneliness or desperation? Whatever your view or opinion this gift of nature has a way of presenting itself spirituality at exactly the right time for many. This image is a depiction of St.Mungo, who as a young boy cradled in his hands and prayed over a dead Robin and brought it back to life. This would symbolises new beginnings for the boy who is now the patron Saint of Glasgow.
