Will that pot plant always be there?

James Rowland

Not just the pot plant, but the living thing; when we leave them behind - when we die, or leave home - do they still go on growing? Is that thing, in this case a pot plant, going to be there, or will it die when we die, will existence of other life-forms persist after are own death or are they inextricably linked? This is important because it explores an aspect of loneliness people don't often think about: loneliness through the knowledge that other things are alone simultaneous to yourself, inanimate and otherwise.
