Despite the rather macabre and bleak image, sited in the hills of Loch Lomond, 'The Call' represents the triumph of self comfort and inner strength. Throughout our lives we all receive 'The Call' whether it's receiving bad news, good news or 'just' news. There is that moment just after you hang up, a moment alone of release and it is in this moment our skeleton resides. It is based on my recent bought of bad mental health that I painted "The Call', reflecting the moment after I made my first call for help. Its a pause after the ending and before a beginning.
