Pure Dead Brilliant

It is impossible to define a ‘Highland Identity’ - the Highlands are a melting pot of traditional ideas and modernised ways of life. Identity is subjective- my Highland Identity has been built as the technological age advanced, as my hometown became a city. My Grandparents identity has been moulded through generations of crofters, following traditional ideas of Highland life. Found objects from the rural and urban landscape with connotations to stereotypes and youth culture have been intertwined to create a contrasting weave of Highland Identity.

Pure Brilliant White paint fuses these ideas to create a single texture of the Highlands.
