My current aim is to build up an approach where forms of plurality coexist in a seemingly vulnerable in-between state. I draw inspiration from my own experiences which often tend to be benighted.

Even though my work is first personal, I see similar logic occurring in structures through which it is possible to gain power, one of the best examples being media and social media that challenge democratic idea of all the voices being considered.

My painting “Replica of a painting I made in a dream where I was a former Russian homeless child” is not meant to be understood as a dream painting. While painting it, I was questioning the borders of personality and how far does one’s sense of culture and self extend.
