This portrait of my girlfriend, Leotie, is one of those pieces of work that I don't think I could replicate or attempt a second time. There was a single moment of creativity where I asked her to sit still for just a moment, and that allowed me to draw this. I spent as little time on it as possible because I wanted it to have energy, and working on it too long would kill that energy. These spur of the moment, acts of creation are what keep the outcomes of my art interesting. Sometimes it's better for work to happen on its own with no prior planning or engagement to have the best possible results.
