The piece I have composed called 'Sexualisation' is my privacy within my self-direction. I chose to create this image as a way of expressing my feelings without having to come out and talk about them as I feel this topic for me is something I do feel strongly about but I severely struggle to talk about it with others as I'm worried about what people may think. However, when I use my favourite art medium of photography, I don't care what people think, and I feel that I can get my own point across on the matter of sexualisation and also let people decide for themselves what I'm trying to portray. I want to show people that I'm not afraid to express my opinions on such issues and that I do have something to say about it, whether that be in a conversation or through an image. The piece for me, also helps allow me to dive deeper into my creativity and venture further to try and express how I feel. This piece is my way of exploring my privacy within my self-direction and helping me to understand my own thoughts and feelings on the issue of sexualisation.
