The Daily Performance

Erin Louise Kivlin

I wrote this piece after a night out. I'm not a writer, I just had a lot on my mind. After my mum stumbling across it she told me, 'You could be writing about me'. I then showed it to a collection of my friends and they all suddenly felt like I was talking about their lives which opened my eyes to how we all live double lives. Mental health is a huge influence but also the insecurities we all feel on a daily basis. It was a comfort to know I wasn't the only one experiencing these feelings.
