This dress has been an amazing opportunity for my own personal goals and aims to show and allowing me to focus on a project independently for my aspiring fashion design. It has also shown me that creativity has no boundaries and I can express my freedom and own curiosity into my designs. This dress has been a personal project based on the streets of York lined with blossom trees at my birth. As well as this, it is also based on the Celtic fire festival Beltane. I pictured the dress to be worn by the may queen, unleashing winter (cloak with snowflakes printed on) and embracing spring(blooming blossom bud of skirt). Having these two main themes, I feel that this dress shows my personal connection to my surrounding Scottish landscape.
