"In school, you categorise yourself: you’re a C-grade student, you’re an A-grade student, you’re a mathematician, you’re an artist. When really, I don't think boundaries need to be defined so much. I would never say that I’m a scientist but then a lot of what I do with mixing paints is chemical, so why would I not be able to say that? A lot of a musicians’ work is mathematical as well as being very creative. You're either a logical person or a creative person: why can't you be both at the same time?"
