Fear Is How I Fall

Fear Is How I Fall

Sofia Thuru

This work was inspired by Linkin Park's song "Crawling" and was an attempt to make the lyrics of the song ("fear is how I fall/ confusing what is real") come alive. The dragon represents bottled up feelings of dread and anger and the girl reaching out with her hand is attempting to appease those feelings. It could be interpreted as an internal battle between various states of mind. This work was drawn on paper and then coloured digitally. If you have a good eye for technique you will probably recognise that the colouring is done in a manner reminiscent of oil painting. This is because I am used to mainly working with oils and this is one of my first digital compositions.
