Down The Line

James Farrar

This piece explores the similarities that I have recognised between the process of fishing and applying to art school. From an early age, my enjoyment of creativity and hands on craft came from creating my own trout fishing flies and sitting on the loch bank. This has developed into a passion for the broad-spectrum design has to offer. this piece was created with the intention of exploring the theme of ‘creativity’, in which I have used the metaphorical parallels between fishing and my Art School application, following the key steps of making the bait, fishing, and enjoying the rewards my efforts brought.
