Control

Georgia Campbell

This piece shows some of my key values: intelligence, capability, and influence, all of which are seen to some degree in the main character. However it is important to note that this is a subversion of these values, what can happen when people are lead to use their values to justify and inspire nefarious acts.

As well as some of my own values, I have included what I feel are traits and qualities valued by society at large: authority, social power and preservation of public image. In my view of society, oftentimes these values are used to motivate disadvantageous and selfish actions, which do not benefit society as a whole.

This story is intended to show a commentary of the obsession with power that infiltrates all levels of social structure, and has done throughout history, and how people can, and have, used twisted versions of morality to justify violent acts.
