An Artist in The Flesh

An Artist in The Flesh

Conor Gray

Since a very young age I've had insecurities about my body and my appearance in general. Personally, I feel that the natural feelings of inadequacy are enhanced as an artist, and the creative mind can exaggerate the imperfections. I have used that to my advantage to the most part in my own art through self portraits, but this is the first time I've included anything other than my face. The shock of having my body exposed to the light is always daunting, but to sit and study it for a self portrait has been really liberating.
